SERV Arkansas Volunteer Registration

Thank you for your interest in registering as a Volunteer Health Professional in Arkansas!

The SERV Arkansas  System is an electronic database of healthcare and non-healthcare personnel who volunteer to  provide aid in an emergency or major disaster. Our System is ultimately designed  to register health volunteers, apply emergency credentialing standards to  registered volunteers, and allow for the verification of the identity,  credentials, and qualifications of registered volunteers in an  emergency.

Registered healthcare volunteers will be contacted to determine availability when there is a need for emergency personnel. If available for deployment the volunteer will be provided with the appropriate contact and reporting information.

System of Emergency Response Volunteers (SERV) is a system to preregister and credential volunteers so that they are ready to be deployed during a natural disaster, terrorist attack or public health emergency.

SERV Arkansas is administered by the Arkansas Department of Health, Preparedness and Response Branch. SERV Arkansas works to recruit, train, manage, and deploy volunteers (medical and non-medical) to assist during emergencies and day to day activities by providing additional staff to meet health/medical surge needs.
Please consider the following as you prepare to register:

When your services are requested for disaster response, you will be given as many details as possible about your role and responsibilities as well as situational or "Just in Time" training.

  • As a volunteer, you have the right to say "yes" or "no" to any requests for your services.
  • As a volunteer, you have the right to decide how far you are willing to travel and how long you are willing to serve.
  • Your information will be kept secure and shared only with emergency management officials during a disaster response.
